2022 ScienceFest

November 27, 2022 8:32 pm Published by This year for the 2022 Sciencefest our members hosted a table educating about Hydrophobicity and how it relates to sneakers. The ACS National Chemistry Week theme for this year was fabrics and textiles. NOBBChE designed an activity supported by Dr. Yan Yu, on the fabrics used in sneakers and used this as a way to introduce hydrophobicity. ScienceFest description: Hydrophobicity 101: Do you know the chemistry involved in the materials of your sneakers?
